Psychotherapy for adults, couples and families
Madrid · Online
I'm Candela, a General Health Psychologist (licence no. M-45198).
I came to psychology with the idea that, very often, we don't need someone to tell us what to do, but a space where we can stop, make sense of what's happening to us and understand ourselves a little better.
Therapy is a space we build together, where you can feel comfortable talking about what's happening to you. That's why, before starting, you can write to me with any questions about the sessions, the format or the process.

Online therapy lets you keep up the process from anywhere and can be a good option if your schedule changes, you live outside Madrid or you simply feel more comfortable working from home.
In-person sessions offer a physical space devoted entirely to the session, which some people may prefer.
Either way, the aim is for you to find a space where you feel heard and supported throughout your process.
If you're not sure which format suits you best, write to me and we'll talk it through.
Get in touchStarting therapy can raise questions. Maybe you're not sure what you need, what the first session will be like or even whether therapy is what you're looking for. That's okay. We can start simply by talking.
You can contact me by WhatsApp or phone and tell me briefly what's leading you to look for therapy. You can also write to me if you'd just like to ask something before taking the next step.
If we feel that the way I work could suit you, we find a day and time that work for both of us and book our first session.
In this first meeting we'll talk about what brings you to therapy, how you are and what you need right now. You don't need to have everything clear or know exactly where to begin.
The first sessions will help us better understand what's happening and what you'd like to work on.
We'll build the process little by little, making room for whatever you need to bring to the session and seeing together what can help you.
Therapy doesn't always have to follow the same path. As we move forward, we'll keep checking how you're feeling, what's changing and what you need at each moment.
Starting therapy can feel a little daunting. You don't need to know what's wrong or exactly what you need before writing to me.
No. In fact, many people come to therapy knowing only that they don't feel well, that something is worrying them or that they feel they need a change. You don't need to have everything figured out before you start. We can discover it together during the first sessions.
The first session is, above all, a space to get to know each other and understand what has led you to look for therapy. We'll talk about what's happening, how you're feeling and what you'd like to work on. You can also ask me anything about how I work.
You don't need to prepare anything special or know exactly what to tell me.
I offer both.
In-person sessions take place in Madrid, and online sessions are held by video call, so you can join from anywhere.
Yes. I offer therapy in both Spanish and English.
If you're an expat or simply prefer to express yourself in English, we can do the whole process in English.
You can also write to me before starting. Tell me briefly what's going on and ask me any questions you have. From there, we can decide together whether the way I work fits what you need.
You can message me on WhatsApp or call me directly. Tell me briefly what brings you to therapy and, if we decide to start, we'll find a day and time for our first session.
